The winter storm Christmas night knocked out the power at the shelter for several days.  We had no way to keep the animals warm as we had no heat and we couldn't wash and dry their bedding.  We put out a plea, and, as usual, our wonderful supporters came through so that we could weather the storm.  Our animals must never go through this again.  We will be purchasing a permanent, natural gas-powered generator that will come on automatically when the power goes out.  They're not cheap so we've set up a special fund just for the generator.  If you would like to donate, just click on the donate button, and write "generator in the comments.  Thank you from the animals!
