Warm Hearts for Cold Noses

Comm. Outreach: Fundraising

HSPC needs the support of the community through donations. There are several ways to donate, including online with a credit card, and a separate page describing them. Your support is much needed and appreciated, and all benefit the animals.

One way is to be a pal and donate monthly - thru Lunch-A-Month. A contribution of $10 a month, via bank draft, would mean so much. We have a form that you fill out and mail in.

Kroger Gift Cards for HSPC
Kroger Logo The Humane Society of Pulaski County now sells HSPC Kroger Gift Cards, a charity of Kroger Foods, at its shelter. This is making a HUGE difference in HSPC's efforts to rescue and place homeless and suffering animals into loving homes and to otherwise foster humane treatment of companion animals.

A Kroger Gift Card costs you $5, one time, and then you get that $5 back in groceries. Once purchased, a Kroger Gift Card is forever. If just 200 families use their HSPC Kroger Gift Cards to purchase $50 worth of groceries each week for a year, Kroger will have donated $26,000 to the HSPC! Find out more about HSPC Kroger Gift Cards.

HSPC Day Planners -
Have you seen or heard about our Day Planners? They are a wonderful way to enjoy helping HSPC. If you haven't heard about them, they are beautiful, spiral-bound, lay-flat day planner/calendars that you can use every day, featuring photographs of local people and their pets, and a gorgeous cover with art painted especially for our Day Planners, such as this water color by Bob Crane for the 2008 book. Through our Day Planners, animal lovers have provided HSPC with a huge amount of support in caring for our dogs, cats and horses and in finding them loving homes. Here is how you can help.

Be a Special Friend Do you or someone you know love animals but can't adopt, for lack of space, time, etc.? Here's a suggestion: Sponsor an HSPC dog or cat in our Special Friends program! To sign up, view the pictures of our cats and dogs, choose your special friend, and send in this form to HSPC. For more information, contact Nancy at 224-7859, or info@warmhearts.org

Igive.com - Another easy way to help HSPC! An organization called iGive.com . If you sign up with them, and specify HSPC as your preferred charity, whenever you shop online at any of about 500 merchants, a percentage of your purchase goes automatically to HSPC. All you have to do is sign up. Then, at any time when you are online shopping, if you go to a participating merchant, like, say Lands End, or Barnes and Noble, a little note will pop up and tell you what percentage is being donated. There is also a list available of merchants, so you can choose to use the ones involved.

Items Needed - The shelter could also use donations of the following items, if you can help: tools; a weed eater, and a vehicle an SUV, pickup or van. This could be a nice tax deduction for someone, and a huge help to the shelter. We could also use occasional help mowing (we have a mower) and weeding the landscaped area. Also, a PC compatible computer with a current version of Windows.

All day, every day---help is needed walking, bathing, playing with the dogs and cats of HSPC. The more time you spend with them, the more adoptable they become. You dont need to schedule a timeif you have some time available, just come on down. Were open 11-6 every day, and until 8PM Mondays and Fridays.
