I wanted to share with you our success story. My husband and I adopted Al, formally Butch, from your facility about two and a half months ago. He was a sad looking 8 year old black Lab/Mastiff mix. He seemed so sweet.

It was our intention, prior to adopting, to find a dog that was older and more unlikely to be adopted at all. Al was so excited when we brought him home, but not as much as we were to have him.

Unfortunately, our 3 year old yellow Lab was not very happy, and over the next couple weeks there was no end in sight to their fighting over dominance in our home. We didnt want to give up on Al; we knew when we adopted him that he had been adopted and brought back once before, because someone had already had another pet he couldnt get along with.

However, after one more big fight, which my husband had to jump in the middle of to stop, we were worried for Al's safety and we took him back. Needless to say, neither my husband nor I had a dry eye, and we couldnt sleep. So the next day we went back and got him.

All he needed was to be neutered! Ever since then he has been a joy to have in our family. We cant imagine life without him! Thank you!!!!!!!!!
