Thanks to Debbie, Lyn, Gene, Casey, Karen, Greg, Richard and Melanie for prepping and painting.
We will continue with fix-up projects next Sunday 1-5. In addition to painters, we could also
use people who are good with building materials since we will be doing some light construction
projects as well. Let Debbie know if you are interested, or if you have questions:

If you are interested in doing a Puppy Love visit, contact Amanda at acarter01@yahoo. com.
She is scheduling visits.

who are interested. Contact Phyllis @ phyllisdogtraining@hotmail.com

Our KROGER CARDS made us $527 last month, which is up a little.. If you don’t have an HSPC
Kroger card, please get one. If you have one, don’t forget to use it, and if you don’t know
about them, let me know and I will explain this painless way to make money for the shelter.
I have just ordered 50 more, and will have them in a few days.
***We have been asked to have an adoption event on Friday 1/19 at Bank of America, 2421 McCain
Blvd, NLR, during the day. They are having a promotion that will bring in donations for HSPC,
and asked us to bring adoptables. If you can do this, let me know by Tuesday. I told them I
wasn't sure we'd have voluntees available, and would let them know. It would be a good opportunity
to let NLR folks know about HSPC. . Gene and Christine are going.
Our 2007 Day Planners are now on sale. Check our website for places to buy them, or for a mail-in
order form. They are better than ever and make great holiday gifts.
If you are a FEDERAL EMPLOYEE, remember that HSPC is a Combined Federal Campaign agency, and
please consider making us your charity of choice. Also, we have our beautiful new brochures,
so if you have a place where charities can leave information (or want a speaker!), let me know,
and will provide them. OUR CORRECT NUMBER IS 9032
We can always use HELP AT THE SHELTER---walking dogs, taking them out to our dog park, brushing
cats, playing with cats, and helping potential adopters choose the perfect pet.
** If you no longer wish to receive these newsletters each week, let me know, and I will remove
you from the list. Also, they sometimes are marked “spam” because I send so many at once.
** Please encourage people you know to give a shelter animal a chance, or consider fostering an
animal for a while. We have had a lot of adoptions of animals in foster care.
Adoptions: Archie; Ripley; Justin; Brandy and Billy; Reggie; Katrina and puppies and kittens.
New volunteers: Anders Reynolds; Joanne Little; Amberlee Phillips; Robin Harrison; Jospeh Balling;
Sharon Clayton; Kevin Fagot/Chance Robinson; Meridith Smith; Paula Suter; Amanda Ward; Tracy Tran
**Next volunteer Orientation: Monday January 22, 6PM at the shelter.
