Thanks to everyone who helped at the store and the shelter over the holidays. We appreciate it.
We want to wish everyone the best of New Years, and thank everyone for all the help they have provided this year.
We found 10 little puppies in a box on the parking lot. They are about 5 weeks old, and need foster homes for about three weeks. They are really cute (I have pictures, if you are interested), and as usual we will provide supplies, meds, etc. They are old enough to eat from a dish, so bottle feeding not required!
We need volunteers Sunday 1/14 to help paint (and prep) the shelter. Sunday 2-5 PM.Let me know if you can help.
If you are interested in doing a Puppy Love visit, contact Amanda at acarter01@yahoo. com.
2007. She has a visit scheduled for 1/13, and the second Saturday of each month, at Little Rock Healthcare and Rehab on Markham. Meet at the shelter at 8:30 AM to get your puppy, and arrange rides. Try to let Amanda know if you plan to go, so we will have enough puppies ready!
Dog training classes will start again 1/13. An informational flyer wil be sent to all those who are interested. Contact Phyllis @ phyllisdogtrainer@hotmail.com

Our KROGER CARDS made us $527 last month, which is up a little.. If you don’t have an HSPC Kroger card, please get one. If you have one, don’t forget to use it, and if you don’t know about them, let me know and I will explain this painless way to make money for the shelter.
***We have been asked to have an adoption event on Friday 1/19 at Bank of America, 2421 McCain Blvd, NLR, during the day. They are having a promotion that will bring in donations for HSPC, and asked us to bring adoptables. If you can do this, let me know by Tuesday. I told them I wasn't sure we'd have voluntees available, and would let them know. It would be a good opportunity to let NLR folks know about HSPC. .
Our 2007 Day Planners are now on sale. Check our website for places to buy them, or for a mail-in order form. They are better than ever and make great holiday gifts.
If you are a FEDERAL EMPLOYEE, remember that HSPC is a Combined Federal Campaign agency, and please consider making us your charity of choice. Also, we have our beautiful new brochures, so if you have a place where charities can leave information (or want a speaker!), let me know, and will provide them. OUR CORRECT NUMBER IS 9032
We can always use HELP AT THE SHELTER---walking dogs, taking them out to our dog park, brushing cats, playing with cats, and helping potential adopters choose the perfect pet.
**If you no longer wish to receive these newsletters each week, let me know, and I will remove you from the list. Also, they sometimes are marked “spam” because I send so many at once.
