Our Wash Every Dog Day was a success! We washed all the dogs in Main, Puppy Room, Lobby, and
some of the hallway and Conference Room. We didn't get any from Clinic, or
"back of the house", but we got a lot. We had lots of great volunteers.. Mary Beth,
Kathleen, Steve (and granddaughter) Larry and Martha, Jennifer, Robin, Pat L, Pat B,
Alexis, FirstStaff group, Anne, Katie and John, Anne G, Van, Candy, Gesina and Salina,Toni,
Kim and Isabelle, Susan, Holly, Heather, Stephanie K and family, Dani, Onyx and Anika,
Margie, Gene, Kyla and Tony,Tina, Kelly.. I'm sure there were more, and if I can't remember
right now, it's not that we didn't appreciate your help!. And extra thanks to our great chef,
Brad, who grilled delicious burgers, hot dogs, sausages (and even some tasty veggie-burgers)
with all the fixin's, and Jennifer, who baked tons of cookies, brownies and lemon squares.
I don't think we could have gotten through the day without the food!! I'm sure everyone who
helped is feeling it today...it was a lot of work, but worth it. Most of the dogs got their
annual rabies shot, and almost all of them enjoyed their baths. All of them needed it!
Sunday October 7--Adoption Day/Cook Out, 12-6.
We're going to try to promote adoptions, and Brad and Jennifer have generously offered to cook
again. We might need another grill(er), and donations of frozen burgers, etc will be
welcome. Let me know if you can help..we'll need folks to help with adoptions, etc
