Reigning Cats and Dogs!!! November 3, 7-10 DoubleTree hotel . We're getting close, and
could still use a few more folks. I will send the list as a separate email (If you have
signed up and aren't listed, or can't make it, or would like to be added...let me/Debbie know asap)

and we have some great auction items
November 18---Mission Market at Pulaski Heights Methodist Church. We can take adoptables.
Anyone interested? We usually get an adoption or two at this event.
December 1--Downtown Holiday ParadeIt would be great to enter a float...first prize is $1000!
Any ideas? Anyone want to form a group to make it happen?
It's CFC (Combined Federal Campaign) time again! If you work for a federal agency, or know
someone who does, please consider making HSPC the charity of choice. Our number is 53272.
And if your agency would like us to do a presentation, Christine has already taken Abner the
Basset mix to a few places, and getting us lots of donations (we hope!)! She would be happy
to make more visits. Last year, we were pledged $22,000, more than any other agency in the
area. This year, we really are depending on donation such as this to meet our expenses.
Our Kroger cards made $611 for September. Please remember to use them. You can only purchase them
at the shelter (or by mail); You can't buy them at Kroger, and using them does not negate
your Kroger Discount card, you can use both. If you don't know how they work, let me know
and I will explain this painless way to make money for the shelter.
Volunteers: Think about taking dogs out to our wonderful dog park to play. They love it! And

Dogs Need Ride I know I send out a lot of these...I am forwarding the lists that I get everyday, if they go through Arkansas. If you are not interested, just delete. I send them to my whole list, can't sort out ones who aren't interested! And many of our volunteers have "taken a leg" many times..almost every one that goes through Arkansas has had an HSPC helper! We have helped so many dogs go from terrible situations to really good ones this way.
