The Humane Society received a contribution of $25,000 from Newman/Haas Racing (Paul Newman's 7-times series-champion auto racing team), in memory of Julia Rogers Lisle.This was completely unexpected and most welcome and appreciated. It came with a note urging us to continue "the wonderful work that we do".
The trip to go thank Paul personally is sold out (just kidding!), but if you are in Las Vegas on April 06-08, please go root for their team in the Las Vegas Grand Prix, their first race in the 2007 season!
