NEWS AND EVENTS
HSPC Week 7/19/04
Foster Needs: We are about to get in 5 Pug mix puppies that wee found in a 4 hole. They will need foster homes for a few weeks. We hear that they are starting to get baby teeth, and could probably eat puppy mush. You dont have to take all of them, but it is better to have more than one. Later today, we are supposed to be taking in five 3 week old orphan puppies, who need bottle feeding.
We provide supplies, meds, vet care, and advice. If you can help with any of these pups, call Sherrie or Kay at the shelter, and let me know, too. And, as always, we will take them in when they are adoptable
Our Dog Wash on Saturday made $758. Thanks to Gene, Jan, Margie, Clare, and of course, John, for all the help...
Saturday, July 24-Whiskers at the Mall. If you can help at the Mall store and adoption center, contact Chris at: ellischris@uams.edu
Tuesday July 27Program at Maumelle Library. Ann needs help, especially transporting the animals. The library folks called, and said it was so great last time, even more kids are coming to this one, and can we please bring more animals? So we could use more help. It starts at 10:30 AM. If you can help, contact Ann at : celticcanine@comcast.net
(note the new email for Ann), and let me know, too.
Our Puppy Love program, (taking puppies to visit folks in nursing homes, shelters, etc) needs more volunteers. Please contact Patty at pjorwall@swbell.net for more information.
Starting July 5, Pizza Hut will again donate 20% of sales on Monday 5-8PM to HSPC. Think of Monday as Pizza Night! This is any Pizza Hut in Pulaski County, and includes delivery!
The shelter could also use donations of the following: tools; a weed eater, and a vehiclean SUV, pickup or van. This could be a nice tax deduction for someone, and a huge help to the shelter. We could also use occasional help mowing (we have a mower) and weeding the landscaped area.
Remember to
USE YOUR KROGER CARDS!! And we have more to sell.
All day, every day---help is needed walking, bathing, playing with the dogs and cats of HSPC. The more time you spend with them, the more adoptable they become. You dont need to schedule a timeif you have some time available, just come on down. Were open 11-6 every day, and until 8PM Mondays and Fridays.
Adoptions: Jordan; Jack Skeeter; Queenie; Gypsie Kay; Buster
New Volunteers: David and Clare Frueaff; Divesh and Ashley Brahmbhart; Brenda Snow
And dont forget to check here on our websitewww.warmhearts.org. I update the animals every Sunday night.
Let me know what you want to help with---
