Santa Claus Little Rock Parade - Our Humane Ed clubs, Paws and Claws, and many volunteers, took part in the Downtown Holiday Parade. All had a great time, especially the dogs. Rumor has it that we won the third place prize, and I am trying to confirm it.

NLR Parade Postponed - Sundays parade was postponed until the 12th. Since this is the day of our HSPC Holiday Party (see below) for the Animals at the shelter, we may have to pass on it...

Our Dayplanners are here, and selling fast! They are available at the shelter, Whiskers at the Mall, Wordsworth Books, Caracalla Spa, Winterberry Home, Faux Pas, the Tack Room, Twin City Bank Heights and Riverdale, Delicious Temptations, Tulips, OneBanc-Financial Center Pkwy, Belleview Animal Hospital, Gallops, and NY Bagel. They are really nice, and make wonderful holiday gifts. The price is $20

Saturday, December 11-- Whiskers at the Mall.If you can help, contact Chris at ellischris@uams.edu.

Puppy Love Puppy Love Patty is moving to Sweden in June, and we need someone to take over coordinating Puppy Love. This involves scheduling visits and volunteers at local nursing homes and womens shelter. Patty will be available to give you all the information you need. There is an email list of volunteers, and new ones will contact you as well. Often church, school, and service groups like to make visits. Puppy Love, as you may know, involves taking HSPC pups, and occasionally dogs and kittens, to visit folks in these facilities. It means a lot to those people. If you are interested, contact Patty at: Pjorwall@swbell.net and let me know, too.

Collection Boxes: We need help with the collection boxes. We need people to make occasional pick-ups at the boxes, and turn the money into HSPC. If there are a few boxes in your neighborhood that you could service, please let me know, and contact Ann at celticcanine@comcast.net, also.

Sunday December 12-- Our Humane Ed clubs are hosting a Holiday Party for the Animals at the shelter, 2-4PM. They will have info on their clubs, and will be presenting the gifts and donations their clubs have raised. It will also be a chance for the clubs from different schools to get together. There will be refreshments, and kittens and puppies to play with. The public is invited,(its listed in Little Rock Family Magazine) and holiday gifts for our animals will be appreciated. (And we could probably use a little help) If you would like to help supervise, let me know. If you would like to donate drinks, cups, icecontact Ann..... I can email you the invitation, if you would like to put it up in your office, etc.

Kroger Card Kroger Cards - We just got in a new shipment of Kroger Gift Cards. Please remember to use your Kroger Gift Cards when doing your holiday grocery shopping. (You can use them in the pharmacy, too). It is a good way to help HSPC with no extra cost to you!

If you havent heard about Kroger Gift Cards, let me know, and I will explain it. It is also on our website.

Help at our Shelter - All day, every day---help is needed walking, bathing, playing with the dogs and cats of HSPC. The more time you spend with them, the more adoptable they become. Some new volunteers have been spending a lot of time with them, and they really appreciate it!

Sun. Dec. 12 Holiday Party for the Animals/Humane Ed Clubs

A good way to help animals: This is pretty simple. Please tell ten friends to tell ten today! The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated every day to abused and neglected animals. It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on "feed an animal in need" for free. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising. Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know - www.theanimalrescuesite.com

And remember to check here on our website - www.warmhearts.org - I add new dogs and cats every Sunday night.
