Dog Wash - Our Dog Wash season is fast approaching, and we are firming up our dates. Does anyone know of a sign company that would donate, or sell us inexpensively, two signs for us to use? The handmade ones that we have been using for years are really shabby. They should be approximately 3x5, weatherproof, and say

We would be happy to give them publicity for their donation.
Graphic Artist - Also, anyone with graphic art skills who would want to make a nice Dog Wash Calendar for usfor the web, the newsletter, and posters and flyers. I will have the dates by this weekend.
Bad Bill - A bill, HB1561 has been introduced in the state legislature regarding animal abuse. We think it is a bad bill. It takes away the powers of Humane Societies to investigate or prosecute abuse cases; it allows someone to shoot your dog if she slips her leash, or outsmarts your fence once, and the neighbor determines shes a stray. It limits the definition of animals to be protected. Please tell your state rep to vote NO. If you need more info, including contacts for legislators, let me know and I will send you a separate email. The vote could be as early as tomorrow, so please act soon!
DayPlanner - If you want to have your pets picture in our 2006 Dayplanner, let me know and I will send you a page purchase form We are limiting the number of pages, so it will be first come; last year we had to turn folks away! We will also have updated information on the Warm Hearts website in a few days.

(The New Jersey Marathon) All her sponsorships are being donated to the HSPC. She has already raised several thousand dollars, and hopes to raise $50,000. To read more about this, and how you might help this great event, information is our website, or contact Holly at Holly Roper
femalephysique@aol.com work - 228-4595 home - 221-1110. Holly is planning an event at her facility in March, and Ill have more info next week.
*Short Term Foster Homes - We are still looking for some short-term fosters for some of our animals that would benefit from time away from the shelter (who wouldnt). Some time spent in a loving home might increase confidence and social skills, and make them more adoptable. If you are interested, or have any questions, let me know.
All day, every day---help is needed walking, bathing, playing with the dogs and cats of HSPC. The more time you spend with them, the more adoptable they become. You dont need to schedule a timeif you have some time available, just come on down. Were open 11-6 every day, and until 8PM Mondays and Fridays. Some new volunteers have been spending a lot of time with them, and they really appreciate it!
Adoptions: Zoie; Bess; Mason; Heather; Cassandra; Mason; McKenzie Mac; Bonnie Girl; all the puppies in the camera room (7!)
HSPC T-shirts are only $8 for volunteers, and we have lots of great colors at the Mall store, and some at the shelter. Good to wear them when volunteering at the shelter, or at off-site events. We just got some new colors in size large at the shelter.
