NEWS AND EVENTS
HSPC Week 1/3/06
I hope everyone had wonderful holidays, and we wish you the best of new years. I was visiting family in California for the past few weeks, so got a bit behind on our newsletters and updating the website
We need a new leader for our
Puppy Love program, as Christina is moving away. It requires keeping track of scheduled visits, pursuing new ones (or responding to the ones that pursue us!), and training new volunteers to take puppies to visit folks in assisted living facilities, nursing homes and womens shelters. If this is something you could do, contact me, and I will put you in touch with Christina, who can get you set up to take over.
We have been donated
30 Kuranda dog beds, and the dogs are enjoying them. They look so cute curled up on them at night. Thanks to all the volunteers who donated them.
Whiskers at the Mall. Saturday January 7-- If you would like to help at our mall store, contact Chris at ellischris@uams.edu
Birthday Party January 15 need help.
Our brick walkway has been installed. These are the bricks purchased for our building fund, and were purchased in honor of, or in memory of, people and pets. If you purchased such a brick, come see the new brick walkway in front of the shelter, and look for your brick. We are working on a map to make it easier to find your brick among the almost 700 that are there.
Remember to use your
Kroger card!!
Adoptions: Dixie Lee; Goldie; Snow Baby; Ramona; Freedom; Boyd; Ms Precious; Beauty; Patrice; Cinderella; and, with all the kittens and puppies, over 160 animals in December.
Next volunteer Orientation, January 9, 2006
