NEWS AND EVENTS

HSPC Week 12/12

We have several mother dogs with puppies that would love to raise their little families someplace besides the shelter. If you have room to take them in for a few weeks, please call Kay at the shelter.

As usual, we will provide supplies and take them all back when they are adoptable

We need more volunteers to come and supervise dogs in the new Dog Park. We have this lovely facility for them to run and playbut they need you to take them out there and watch them play. We even have benches for you to sit on!

Washer/Dryer - We had several generous offers of a washer and dryer for the clinic area, and I believe one set was picked up Friday.

Saturday 12/3 and Sunday 12/4Pet Photos with Santa: Our actual count was $485.00

Our Kroger cards earned us $542.00 for November. Please remember to use them,

Don't forget our 2006 Day Planners. They are on sale at a store near you, the shelter, and by mail. Check the link here on our website - go to www.warmhearts.org, and click on the headline about Day Planners, for a list of outlets, and a mail order form. They really do make great holiday gifts.

Interested in taking puppies to visit folks in nursing homes? Contact Christina at ramseyresources@aol.com

Kuranda Beds: Want to do something nice for the shelter dogs? Donate a Kuranda bed. Heres how: go to www.kuranda.com and click on donate a bed. Select our state and then select HSPC. Choose the size bed you want to donate. The choices are: Large, $54 (The large ones are big enough for any of our dogs) We could also use some smaller ones. HSPC will be notified of your donation, and the bed will be shipped directly to HSPC. These are indestructible, raised beds, which will keep our dogs off the cold concrete floors, and also help them to have a clean place to sleep (or lounge). If you have a particular dog you want to donate a bed for, let me know, and I will see that he/she gets it.. So far, 24 have been donated, and the dogs are enjoying them!

Whiskers at the Mall. Saturday December 17-- If you would like to help at our mall store, contact Chris at ellischris@uams.edu
