Dog Wash Saturday made $870! It was a hot day...only Gene, David, Billye, Kimber, John and I were there. We really could have used more help. Both Channel 4 and Channel 7 showed up to do a feature on the dog washes (slow news day!)...and they are also mentioned in Sunday's Dem Gazette, High Profile page! I hope it brings us more dogs to wash!
Next Dog Wash--August 16 at Kroger.

Revenge on the River brought in $1903 for HSPC..thank you Roli Delgado, and the volunteers who helped. I don't know who was there, other than Debbie H, and Ann and Robert..will update when I get the list!

The puppy mill dogs are resting comfortably at the shelter. They all need medical care and time to recover from anemia, mange, heartworms and infections. They won't be ready for adoption or fostering for at least a month. IF YOU, OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW IS INTERESTED IN ADOPTING, SUBMIT AN APPLICATION. The approved adopters will be notified when they are ready, and invited to come and choose. Applications are available on the website, under "Adoption Procedures" or by calling or stopping by at the shelter.
