Saturday December 6 - Holiday Parade: New instructions:
If you want to help decorate the Blazer, meet at the Riverfest Amphitheater at 1:30. Look for our white Blazer, and our people. Have your(shelter) dog with you.
If you just want to walk a dog, or carry a sign, meet there by 3pm. I will have maps for you when you pick up your dog at the shelter.
If you have a special dog in mind, let me know, and I will try to save it for you. Keep in mind that not all dogs would enjoy this event. If you are on mny list and can't make it, let me know.
If you would like to join the list--just tell me. This will be a long day, so wear comfortable shoes, and perhaps pack a snack. Usually, parade-goers get back to the shelter around 6:30. Feel free to dress in "seasonal attire", but Santa costumes are not allowed.
December 7--Birthday Party at the shelter!!! This one starts earlybe there around noon.
December 14 - Birthday Party at the shelter. Every day: Help is needed at the shelter--walk dogs, clean, bathe, play with animals. Do any of our volunteers know anything about coins? HSPC has a small collection of coins that we would like to sell, and need some advice as to value, etc.
Pizza Hut gives us a percentage of sales Mondays from 5-7; this has been a huge help to HSPC. If you're thinking Pizza, remember Pizza Hut!
The Sassy Chic Cookbook will be available at HSPC, Whiskers, and by mail through the website. It is $15, and a large percentage of sales come to HSPC. It's a wonderful collection of recipes.
