Horses Rescued in Grant County, March 2003

On March 10 our abuse officer, Kay Jordan, rescued thirteen horses from an abusive/neglectful situation. These horses were malnourished and full of worms. Their hooves were in bad shape, and some were ill.

They are currently being held at a private home, and being cared for, at great expense. The court hearing is scheduled for mid-April.

If you can help with any of the following, please call Kay Jordan at HSPC, 227-6166.

We need the following items badly:
  • A 100 gallon water tank
  • Farrier services
  • Food and hay
  • Tack
  • Cash
Homes are not needed at this time, as the horses must stay at their present location until the court hearing.

Thanks so much

For the Warm Hearts and Cold Noses...
